Why we Support MADD

We recently sponsored the Walk Like MADD and MADD Dash 2018 in Kansas City. It was held on June 16, 2018 in Theis Park in Kansas City. I also ran (jogged, more like) the 5k Dash. It was a wonderful event that raised over $15,000.00 for this fantastic organization.

We support MADD because we share a common goal of making our streets safer. MADD advocates to prevent drunk and drugged driving, and we hold people accountable for breaking the rules of the road. When we drive, we expect others to follow basic safety rules. When those rules are broken, and someone else gets hurt, the rule-breaker is responsible for the harm. You break it, you buy it.

By holding people responsible for breaking the rules of the road, we make the roads safer. Making people pay for their mistakes has a strong deterrent effect and makes the community safer.

MADD does the same thing by helping people make the right decision about a basic rule of the road: don’t drink and drive. Driving drunk endangers us all. It can kill or maim people. MADD’s work helps prevent this from happening and makes our roads safer.

Supporting MADD benefits us all. Please join us in giving them your support. Learn more and donate at:
