About Me
I'm a St. Louis native who graduated from the University of Missouri in 2002 with degrees in Psychology and English. I planned on going to law school after college, but the attacks of September 11th happened my senior year so I enlisted in the U.S. Army instead. After basic training, I successfully completed Officer Candidate School and was commissioned as a lieutenant in the infantry. In 2004, I had the honor of serving as rifle platoon leader and was deployed for 14 months in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
While I enjoyed my time in the military, I still had the strong desire become a lawyer, and the Army didn't leave much room for that. So after being discharged from the military, I moved to Kansas City and went to the University of Missouri- Kansas City School of Law. I graduated with honors and finished first in the school's moot court program. I was also a member of the National Moot Court Team, served as a law review staff member, and interned with the Honorable Judge Ortrie Smith of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Missouri.
While in law school, I fell in love with Kansas City and decided to open a firm here. Now, I have the pleasure of helping injury victims get compensation for their injuries. What is most rewarding about our practice is helping clients understand the legal process and ensuring that they don't get taken advantage of. Most of our clients are facing problems that, thankfully, the majority of people never face. It can be a scary experience and I take pride in the fact that we do what we can to take the mystery and dread out of litigation.
